Can the divine child be put back together? I invoke the help of Gluskap at the headwaters of the Penobscot River: "Cut a giant yellow birch and kill the monster frog of Western Civilization that is starving us." From its branches will come the healing waters, just as Cy Twombly, Native American artists, and my humble attempts hang onto the wings of creativity to make...to do...to be released from the torn body of the world.
